Meet Liopelo Maphathe

Liopelo Maphathe is a seasoned Lesotho-born actress, who studied Performing Arts degree from the University of the Free State. A television personality, and voice artist, best known for her roles in South African television since the early
2000s. She is recognized for her work in series such as Nna Sajene Kokobela.

She is a celebrated South African actress and TV presenter, best known for her breakout role as Luyanda on Backstage. With a career spanning numerous hit television shows, she has become a household name, captivating audiences with her versatility and charisma.

Her impressive acting portfolio includes roles in King’s Joburg (Netflix), Durban Gen, Gomora, Nikiwe, Muvhango, Rhythm City.

Beyond acting, Liopelo has made her mark as a dynamic TV presenter, hosting various shows such as AfroCafe (Music Show), she is passionate about leading her own program on Moja Love channel 157 (Madi-Aka). This show advocates for children aﬀected by diﬃcult divorces or ongoing conﬂict between parents. It aims to mitigate parent diﬀerences in other to create healthier future for the children and promote healing, understanding, healthier family relationships and betterment of the children future. She is passionate about youth development and mentoring.
