Her expertise spans the entire creative value chain, from research, funding, and content development to production management, scheduling, and final broadcast delivery. This deep understanding of both the creative and commercial dimensions of the industry gives her a rare perspective that bridges artistry with business strategy.

Lala currently serves as Head of Content at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), where she leads the creative vision, commissioning strategy, and content portfolio for one of Africa’s most influential media platforms. In this role, she drives transformation, storytelling diversity, and audience growth across multiple channels, ensuring that the national broadcaster remains both culturally relevant and globally competitive.

Before joining the SABC, Lala served as Managing Director at Clive Morris Productions, one of South Africa’s leading production houses. Under her leadership, the company delivered groundbreaking television content, including The Estate on S3 and BET’s Isono, acclaimed productions that captured audiences across South Africa and the African continent.
