Currently pursuing an LLM in Government Procurement Law at George Washington University as a Justice Thomas Buergenthal Scholar, Songezo brings a wealth of academic knowledge to his practical experience. He also holds an LLM in International Trade Law from Stellenbosch University and an LLB (Honours) from the University of Fort Hare. His dedication to lifelong learning is reflected in his participation in several prestigious short courses, including “The Next Manager” at the University of Pretoria (GIBS) and “POPIA for Tech Startups” at the University of Cape Town.

Songezo also played a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, media relations, and the development of strategic policies for the Commission.

Beyond his work in the public sector, Songezo’s expertise extends to thought leadership, where he has contributed as a talk radio host at SAfm, discussing legal and policy issues. As a consultant at AfrikaneyeZ Holdings, he provides expert advice on corporate conferencing, stakeholder mapping, media strategy, and marketing campaigns.
