MEET Linda Sibiya
A South African radio and television personality and motivational speaker. In 1995 he went back to KwaZulu Natal and was called to do a 12 – 1 pm slot at Radio Maritzburg every Thursday. In February 1996 he was offered a training for Ukhozi by the SABC.He started with the 12 – 5AM in Ukhozi. In 1999 he was got the job full time doing the 12 – 3pm slot. In 2000 he was given the drive time slot until 2008. In 2008 he was given the morning show Vuka Mzanzi. He hosted the first season of the SABC2 religious music programme Gospel Classics, from 2011-2012.
He was replaced for Season 2 by Tshepo Maseko. In 2013 he began hosting the Mzansi Magic and Mzansi Wethu talk show Sifun’ukwazi, in which he leads the debate on topical issues and people. Linda Sibiya was given an opportunity to act in an independent film called Uhlanga The Mark, written and produced by Ndaba ka Ngwane, which showed at the Durban International Film Festival 2012. He played the role of Mandla Thabethe, who sells bananas for a living and then gets a job at a sugar-cane factory. Linda Sibiya has the Magic Communications and Events company and the Magic Tour where he does motivational speaking at universities.
