MEET Deborah Mutemwa-Tumbo
She is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She is the chairwoman and a co-founder of TumboScott, a Sandton based law firm specialising in corporate and commercial legal services.
She has previously worked as a public law and litigation attorney at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, as well as at the Constitutional Court of South Africa as the senior law researcher and clerk to Justice Sisi Khampepe. Prior to joining the Constitutional Court. Prior to that she worked as a corporate and commercial attorney at Webber Wentzel after completing two years of articles with the firm.
She has an LLB and an LLM (cum laude) in public international from the University of Johannesburg and a certificate from the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute in the the African Political Economy- the African Economic Challenge. In 2018 she was recognised as one of the top 200 young South Africans by the Mail & Guardian.
