Meet Dr Unéné Gregory​

Dr Unéné Gregory is a young thought leader whose work sits at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship and innovation development. A 2012 Mandela Rhodes Scholar, 2017 Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance Associate and a 2018 Commonwealth Scholar, she has academic credentials spanning South Africa, France and the UK, including a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Dr Gregory’s international exposure fuels her passion for driving transformative change, particularly within the African context. As a Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Manager, she drives collaborative initiatives that align private sector resources with public sector needs, with a focus on empowering youth, preparing them for the rapidly evolving world of work, and fostering sustainable development.

An innovator, entrepreneur, writer and former Student Venture Capitalist, Dr Gregory is deeply invested in nurturing innovation. With a multifaceted career spanning project management, marketing, and engineering, she seamlessly blends technical expertise with strategic acumen to drive impactful outcomes. She has consulted for startups and small businesses, equipping them with strategies to optimise their processes and create lasting impact. Her focus is on purpose driven collaboration to advance inclusive and sustainable growth and foster positive impact. Through her speaking engagements, Dr Gregory inspires audiences to embrace entrepreneurship as a force for transformative change, leveraging her experience to highlight the role of youth in building sustainable solutions for Africa’s development.
