Meet Amanda John-Ncube

Amanda John-Ncube is a multi-award-winning Financial Services Leader with 15 years worth of experience ranging in different roles within the focused area of financial planning, strategy and practice management. With legal qualifications having spearheaded her career path and led to post & advanced postgrad qualifications in Financial Planning. She graduated with a Magna cum Laude an Exec Masters in Digital Transformation at IE University in Madrid on a Women In leadership part-Scholarship granted by IE University and is currently undergoing exec leadership studies through an Old Mutual Leadership programme with Columbia Business School. She leads the Old Mutual’s Black Distributors Trust and is also the Business Development Manager within the Strategy team where she is the custodian on different strategic projects focused on enhancing the value proposition to independent financial advisers and their support staff. She also sits on the Old Mutual Group SMME Steering Committee and is an accredited business coach. Amanda is a financial literacy author for adults and children and is the co-founder of The LeanIn Circle for Women in Financial Planning and many of her professional colleagues know her as a connector, someone who takes others along the journey and the woman who gets things done with impact. She regularly speaks on topics of business coaching within the financial planning space, accelerating customer engagement, financial literacy, inclusion and women leadership and motivation. She is a Non-Executive Board Member and has also served on the board of the Financial Planning Institute. She is a multi-award winner and was named The Woman of Stature in Financial Services 2024. She is also named as top 10 rising leaders in the field of banking and financial services by Trans Union 2023 and was a finalist of influential women in her field by both ABSIP and Business Engage Accenture 2022. She has 2 young boys (11 and 2) and enjoys taking them out for breakfast and golfing during weekends.
