MEET Dr. Allegro Dinkwanyane
Dr Allegro Dinkwanyane is a South African award winning entrepreneur, philanthropist, publicist, journalist, speaker and media personality. She is the Founder and Group CEO of Orgella Group, a diverse group of companies invested in several industries which include Orgella Communications, Orgella Entertainment, Orgella Foods, Orgella Sports, women empowerment and mentorship platform Boss Chiq SA and more.
Allegro launched her first company Orgella Entertainment in October 2011, followed by PR & Marketing agency Orgella Communications in 2013. In 2015, she was featured in the Forbes Woman magazine, cementing her business brand and role as an entrepreneur. At 27 she was listed on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list and has since gone on to receive multiple national and international business awards including the 2023 Woman of Stature “CEO of the Year” award and 2024 Woman of Wonder “Visionary Woman” award. Furthermore, the Standard Bank Top Empowerment Awards recognised Orgella Group as one of South Africa’s Top Gender Empowered Companies. To date she is hailed as one of the most successful & influential young entrepreneurs and owners of a 100% black female-owned company in South Africa.
As a social entrepreneur, Allegro is passionate about giving back to the community. Her nonprofit organisation Orgella Helping Hands Foundation, hosts annual events around South Africa aimed at lending a helping hand to the orphaned, homeless and underprivileged. The foundation runs a several annual drives including a back to school drive, winter soup kitchen, sanitary towel drive, youth empowerment expos and career/business seminars.
Allegro is a University of Johannesburg and UCT alumni. She also holds an Honorary ‘Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration’ Doctorate Degree from Prowess University, Delaware, USA. In 2017, she was appointed as the NDP (National Development Plan) 2030 Ambassador by the South African Department of Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation. She is also a Brand South Africa ‘Play Your Part’ ambassador.
