Meet Dr. Brenda Kubheka

Dr. Brenda Kubheka has special interest in ethics, risk management, leadership and digital health. Dr. Brenda Kubheka is a co-founder and MD of Health IQ Consulting and a principal in Accidents and Emergency practice at Dr. SK Matseke Memorial Hospital, Soweto. She has occupied senior and executive positions at Medscheme, Mpumalanga Department of Health and Clinix Health Group, including serving as an ethics advisor.

She holds various qualifications including a medical degree, MBA from GIBS and Certificate in Clinical Bioethics from Harvard University, to name a few. She is a PhD student at the Wits University’s School of Public Health, a board member at Leratong Hospital and a member of Cancer Association of SA’s social and ethics subcommittee. She is a member for the HPCSA Professional Conduct committee and is a writer and a published scholar. She is a member of an advisory group at Monash University and taught Bioethics and Health Law at the same university.
